Your not crazy. Mine just started the same thing yesterday. Worked on Sunday. I rebooted my iDrive and still no fix so it’s not me. Called genius and opened a ticket. From the App I can see my vehicles location, send directions but can’t access 3D camera or send lock/unlock codes,ventilate.
Talked to my dealer a hour ago and their computers are also down to BMW. Something is going on. |

Mine’s not working either. Last time I refreshed was 12/31. I unchecked my internet connection this morning which made my car play work as intended and wonder if that caused this issue. Any of you guys do that, too, since your last refresh?

Not related. My dealer has got to activate my WiFi hot spot demo. I can connect to the car via WiFi but no service yet. ATT said the demo was activated yet so dealer is working on it.

mine started showing no data connection last night. i think its something on there end. its good to have this forum to keep each other informed. its not good booting and changing settings in an effort to repair when there could be a possibility of screwing something else up.

At this stage of life with this new of a vehicle I think we all are trying to determine what is normal and what isn’t. The forum is priceless.

+1. Mine last worked on New Years Day. Two days in a row with "no data connection." Called the BMW Assist folks today with absolutely no luck resolving the issue.
Furthermore, remote lock, unlock features not working either.

Well, how about that. Not working on my 2019 X5 OR my 2018 540.
My guess is that there must be a system outage with BMW. Since my 540 is not working either, this one (for a change) seems not to be an iDrive 7 issue. |

Go to Data Privacy (?) and ensure it's location/camera(?) are enabled. Mine got disabled while trying to get apps to install.

I had that a couple weeks ago. Has been off since the software update was applied--the same one that didn't fix anything else but did nuke all my BMW apps in iDrive. |
