Spotify App and Android Auto

Anyone know how to keep the preference for the Spotify app. It seems as i restart each time the idrive reverts to Android auto. I notice better sound quality with the cars spotify app vs through android.

Ithe phone settings in Android auto setting (phone] allowed to deselect auto launch of Spotify.
