so can you tow with an X5M?

I'm considering an X5M to swap for my M5C, and one of the drivers is being able to tow my track car. I know the X5M comes (or at least can come) prewired w/ 8SL so the retrofit harness is plug and play, and I know the stealth hitch fits and handles the weight I need. However, I read something the other day about how you shouldn't tow with an M because of compromising chassis rigidity or something like that. Those words don't necessarily make sense to me, but thought I'd double check...

I think I have an M3 problem.

With both my F85 and its F95 successor, I towed my 33 ft long 5500 lbs trailer for thousands of miles, over highways and mountain passes, it is simply the best and most stable towing car I ever had - with no impact whatsoever on the car itself.
