M Compound Brakes X5M

Ordering a X5M, any difference between the standard blue brakes and the red / black M Compound Brakes or is it just color?

Yup I’ve been getting mixed messages also. I prefer blue with my spec, so if it’s all the same good for me!

The original BMW brakes (pads) are terrible and produce a loud squealing noise.
I highly recommend swapping for aftermarket ASAP.
iSweep is one of the possibilities, but a bit pricey.

Red parts are always faster. So if you want the faster brakes, get them in red :P

I'm not entirely sure what faster brakes are, but red parts are always faster, so...

Also, the dust on the BMW stock pads is pretty damn bad. Powerstop makes Z23 pads for them, I've used these on other performance vehicles and they work quite well and dust a LOT less.
