But I could swear that the actual digits for speed in the HUD would turn red when exceeding the speed limit. Am I mistaken?
If so, then why does the iDrive offer that option?
yes my digits turn red when over speed limit.

That's what I thought.

So again, anyone here with a F95/F96, does the vehicle speed in the HUD turn to red (as long as you have it checked off to do so) when you go over the speed limit?

When not using BMW navigation, no red just flashing, I checked it multiple times. Though with navigation have to check, but I think it goes red initially and flashes after. Need to keep an eye not to miss it.

I think red numbers would be incredibly distracting.

I know mine doesn't turn red. But like the previous poster, the speed limit sign blinks when the speed limit is exceeded (not saying that I speed I'm just describing a technical feature in the car )

I'm getting the sense that perhaps the F95 digits don't turn Red. I guess I will focus my efforts on getting the HUD hardware replaced due to excessive light bleed.
