Idrive 8.5 app icons not showing

Hello

since 2 weeks i have some app icons not showing anymore?
I am on Idrive 8.5 and IOS 17.0.3
Tried resetting phone, repairing,.. nothing helps

Try rebooting iDrive by holding down on the volume button for several seconds. This has happened to me before but it was fixed later once I rebooted Idrive and later reconnected Apple Carplay

That works, just push the button in until the screen goes blank, about 30 seconds.

All the icons that are not loading are from Carplay. When a app says XYZ in Carplay its just a shortcut and navigates you to the app in Carplay. This is what Apple call "enhanced Integration" and is controlled in the iPhones Carplay setting. You can turn it off if you want entirely so none of these shortcuts will show up in the cars "All apps" or "Entertainment Apps" .

Why the icons are not loading is a issue with handshaking between the car and carplay i'm afraid. I would do what others have suggested. Reboot the headunit and reboot your phone, else go through the pairing process again.

Personally i dont find these shortcuts very useful and have that switched off. There is already enough clutter in the All Apps area of ID8.5
