Read this thread in whole. Seemed like Gen 1 was a no brainer...but there are the newer slides I like. Ha, you would think something like this is forward compatible from Gen 1. What happens when Gen 3 rolls out

I am having exactly the same problem with trying to get these to fit on my new X7 - after much struggling to get them in part of the BMW logo is cut off by the door

Not sure if you gave up on this, but while installing mine yesterday on a '23 X7 (a PITA BTW!), the front of the BMW logo was cut off on one of my doors too. I removed the light and noticed that one side of the surround was higher than the other (the side near my thumb). I reversed the lights from the driver side and passenger doors (I think the one marked 'X' goes on the driver side with the connection pointed rearward and "O" on the passenger side) and voila... no cutoff. If you install the thick side facing toward the outside of the door, it forces the light to be angled ever so slightly inward and avoids the projected light hitting the bottom of the door. Unfortunately, the IKEA-style instructions are useless in that they fail to mention this important detail.

Amazon puddle lights are cheap and last 6 months or less. My colors have faded so much since March. Better to buy oem

2022 X5 Hybrid Projector Lights with BMW logo

Has anyone purchased 'after market' Projector Lights for a 2022 X5 Hybrid and installed them. Seems all of the sites which sell them tend to exclude this model vehicle.

I would like to purchase 'after market' lights (2) but want to insure that they will fit the vehicle.......any help will be appreciated...thank you!
