Not the most enchanting color on the pallete, but at least they're getting away from 50 shades of gray.

I like it (the color) a lot. Maybe just not this combination. Needs chrome delete but other than that, this color would look great on an M car, especially an M6.

Forget the car, you got bigger issues on your plate like changing your diet.

Does BMW do an individual program for X cars built in South Carolina? Or are you restricted to the serial paints only? This Manhattan green isn't much to look at so to prioritize it as a serial paint is questionable to me.

Unfortunately, no Individual Manufaktur program or SABI paintwork for X vehicles manufactured in Spartanburg. Only the Priority 1 special request generic 490 code paintworks can be selected.

This... the colors are very similar

This color has absolutely nothing going for it. You can throw the name "Manhattan" in there but it's still an ugly olive green/grey.

Individual colors are not available for the X5 yet. Hopefully one day but given how limited they would be due to the driving assistance systems it probably is not likely.

Are the Priority 1 special request generic 490 code paintworks the same as serial paints? Or is it another list of paints dealers have access to when configuring a customer build?

Why do the driving assistance systems limit the possibility of BMW offering individual colors?

From the information that is out there, the driving assistance systems will not work properly with certain light (not white) metallic colors. That is why when Sunstone Metallic was available for MY2019 you could not order the DAP package. I don't think anything official has ever been released although a member here did post that he read an article concerning it. Hopefully they overcome any limitations in the near future.
