Just got the new bmw 24 bmw x5 40i and already had the drivetrain malfunction light come on. once it happed the vehicle stalled on me and the check engine light came on. as soon as i started it back up the engine was misfiring and i could barely drive the car to park it in the driveway. after locking the car and leaving it sit for an hour the drivetrain light went off and as soon as i drove the car and parked it turned back on the lights all reset and no lights. brought it to bmw they have no clue what is wrong. the car has 1500miles on it.smh !

Sorry to hear your new toy is playing up. 😢
Have you contacted the last fuel outlet you used to see if they have had any contamination? You would think the dealership would have an idea.
Hope find the issue and fix.

Sucks but just bring to the dealer and get a loaner. No sense stressing and trying to diagnose. It’s their problem.

Results came in, the car was at the service center for 2 weeks. They pulled apart the engine because the codes came back as an engine misfire. Head gasket changed springs valves etc After countless testing and trial and errors they were informed that it was just a software update that was needed. My I drive and computers are now up to date with the newest software smh !
