Aren’t these covered under the 3 year warranty?

I would be surprised if filters such as these are covered under a 3 year warranty.

The projected service intervals on them are at 10k miles / 12 months, 30k miles / 36 months, 60k miles / 60 months.

I replace mine every year myself.

I’ve seen micro air filter on the warranty service schedule, not cabin air filter

I’ll be installing these soon

I've gone down the rabbit hole on cabin filters, found this comparison and deep dive against all of the common German filter manufacturers.

TLDR: In order of best to worst: Mahle > Hengst > Mann > Bosch > Valeo

If there’s a fix needed is that something the 4 year warranty covers?

Driving an x5 2020 for reference.

Thanks,
Hi I have exactly the same issue in my g20 2019. It's relatively ok during the winter but gets worse when outside temp rises over 15C. Same as you, I tried everything, bombs, foams, new filters, bmw had my car 5 times, cleaning the evaporator, all channels, replacing filters etc. and it's still there. I've got enough, because my warranty expired now.

People who say they had same issue and avise to switch off the aircon, or replace the filter just prove they either didn't read your post or had different issue.
I found similar story to our, when guy finally after trying everything got fed up and sold.thw car. I like.my car, but I am already considering selling it, because of that.
This is not what I was expecting from BMW. This kind of fault plus the service that has no idea what it is and they spray the bomb to mask the smell...

You don't do that in Florida. If you do, you just suck hot humid air in which will condense throughout the system - where it shouldn't be. The AC is designed to reduce humidity by condensing the moisture out of the air and draining it out at the evaporator. You shouldn't have moisture trapped in the system unless the drain is clogged.
