Allocations, New Rates & incentives

Happy new year everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has any information regarding allocations for x6 M60i? BMW didn’t drop any allocations last week, hopefully they drop them this week.

Also, does anyone know what the new rates are for leasing (Money factor) and financing APR. Is it down or up? I saw somewhere that the MF has increased.

Probably haven’t been published yet. Edmunds is your best source. Should be out by end of the week.

The rates/MNF should be released late tomorrow or on Wednesday. As mentioned above, Edmunds, particularly their forums, is the best source for leasing information as they will tailor it to your location.

What’s the overall car market looking like? . Any chance these rates come down? Crazy to think that as at April 2023 MF was 0.00165 now it’s 0.0021

A lot will depend on the sales figures. If they were down enough you may see lower MFs and higher residuals. Interest rates in general appear to be headed down so that would also favor a lower rate. All that aside, if I had ot take a guess I would say they say the same for January, hopefully I'm wrong.

I ordered my X6 before Christmas and still don’t have a production number. I’m in South Florida a friend of mine told me I should have went to Central Florida she said she did 3 deposits and they got her car the fastest, I’m a complete newbie so I had no idea how the ordering worked and now I’m a little disappointed the dealership kept that hidden.

Your dealer has not placed your order against an allocation because he doesn’t have one or gave it to another buyer. Otherwise you would have a production number. Id insist on complete transparency and/or find another dealer. BMW 101……….dealer has an allocation for a X6 and places your order with the factory and you immediately receive a production number.

Dealers often play that game so don't worry about falling for it. In this case it probably is for the best with the new MY coming out. It will be very difficult for you to find a dealer with an X6 allocation for MY24. My advice would be to hold off for a few weeks until the MY25 allocations are released and then see if you get a production number. I would let them know that if you don't receive one you will be shopping around. This of course assumes that you are happy with your deal and that they will give you the same pricing for MY25.

Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

Thanks for the info if MY 25 is going to be available soon I may as well hold out lol since at this point seems like my MY 24 won’t be here until summer at this rate. Once again thank you for the information.

Assuming the dealer is not holding out on you, you won't be getting a MY24 as there will be no more allocations for them.

I’m hoping to find out more tomorrow. I talked to the dealership today but my sales rep wasn’t in and I didn’t get much info. I placed my deposit on 12/22/23 and I just got an email last week from BMW saying my order was confirmed not sure why it took almost 45 days to get that confirmation email but I know I still don’t have a production number based on the limited information that was given to me by the guy I talked to on the phone today.

That is different. If you got an email from BMW then you do have an order against an allocation and they should be able to give you the production number. Once you get that number then you can call Genius and they can give you your production week.

Probably just a coincidence but after I called the dealer yesterday, even though I haven’t heard back from my sales rep yet this morning I got the production begins email. I was actually going to try to make a change to the build because they brought back the air suspension after I ordered my car.

The car is in production now. Status 150, which means a VIN has been assigned and no changes can be made. Did you get your production number?

If so, you can add the vehicle to your BMW garage to track as it progresses: https://login.bmwusa.com/. It would take around 10days to see it move to 151 but after that it’s pretty quick until you get to the port

I’m in a different boat. Asked dealer before hand if they could get an allocation for an x6 m60i. Of course was told …’we are the largest dealer this side of the whatever’.

- Gave deposit on Jan 6th quoting it ‘takes up to 12 weeks’
- The confirmed build on Jan 10th
- Get call on 2/11 saying there‘s a delay, looking at end of April now
- ‘But we don’t have allocation or VIN yet’

This could be my 4th new x since 2013. Or not.

Follow-up -- Since It's late Feb I figured I'd probably end up with a '25.
Welp, you guessed it. Build number for a '25 arrived.

How'd you get your '25 production number? Does that come from the dealership?

Welcome to the forum. Yes, your dealer should give you a new production number when it is issued.

My CA believes my production number will stay the same from MY24 to MY25. If this isn't correct, is there another way to obtain my MY25 production number? Is it something Genius could provide me if I gave them my MY24 production number?

It definitely will not stay the same. BMWNA will convert it to a MY25 production number when production allows. Nothing can be done until BMW gives your dealer the new production number. We have had some members have their replaced already.
