I called my dealer and service agent mentioned there is a recall on the car and booked for a service for whole day. I have booked for next Tuesday. Will update how it goes. |

Did you notice any differences? Was lane change available after upgrade or any of the apps?

No mention of a recall and I did not look at the service print out - I was too busy looking to see the software version and playing around with it.
It seems more responsive and the voice assistant works much better. Different app icons but no caring car etc other have reported. No remote start either (must be geographical??). The ACC no longer applies auto hold after 3 seconds stationary in traffic, which I like. Otherwise I have not noticed much. The iDrive hasnt frozen or needed resetting and just seems smoother and quicker but that could just be my impression. I am sure there is other stuff but this is all I noticed so far. The valet mode still changes everything to Chinese when activated so there are still some bugs in the software! |

While I took the car in today to ask for this update to 07/2019.55, they pointed out a TSB that requires Battery controller reprogramming. I have left the car there for the day. |

Cars that are upgraded from an earlier i-step to 07/2019.x only get ADV via esys coding. UK G05 cars don't get auto lane change period. At least not in the current MY. Again, this can be enabled using esys coding. |

Did you have to do anything to get caring car app and experience mode? I still do no thave that. Has remote start become an option for you? Glad the update went well for you. |

Apologies been offline for while. My update to .55 has produced only nice bmw app icons, nothing else - no experience modes, no assisted driving view, etc etc. Dealer seems to have no idea what functions are in what release as bmw doesn’t tell them.
