Seems like that's staying a trait for at least the sedans. When I first saw the F30 I was skeptical about it but it grew on me

The f15 is far more aggressive. I think they will age quite well.

Hmmm
I feel like this is a very calculated move on BMW's part. This is very X3 looking and I always loved the X5 over the X3. I feel that they are trying to pull more people to the X7 and make the x5 feel a bit more basic. Then again, who am I and what do I know... i'll wait to see both in person lol

People saying the tail lights looks japanese, looks nothing japanese 🙄
Regardless the tail lights don’t look good, the upcoming 3 series looks to be following the trend |

Current gen looks so aggressive I like it. I don't know how to take this new one in. I'm confused.

It still has L shaped taillights they're just inverted like the E92 and X2. The shape of the LED's inside sucks though - the big red box reminds me of a grand cherokee

am i the only one to see Skoda Kodiaq in rear (lights)? that renders of rear (with basic non-M Sport trim) is almost the same as Kodiaq.. and if i am right, ex-Skoda designer moved to bmw recently? i knew he will make bmw goes from beautiful to ugly, now i know those are renders, and thanks God that those arent precise on the rear cause it looks like mix of Jeep and Skoda

I assume if the tail lights end up in that position they will be putting the badges in the same crappy spot like they switched to on the G01.

It's funny, everyone focuses on the taillights and grill. I tend to enter my car from the side , so the profile jumps out at me far more than the rear or front end. All I see is that very bizarre ski jump to the rear door handle. It drives me nuts. I don't get it. It looks nothing like the new X3.
This render seems to accentuate it more than the slight inward sloping of the camo cars and another recent render, so I'm holding out hope that it'll look better in person. |

You'll be disappointed by the new 3 series...

I have to say, I don't understand where BMW is going with their design language... Maybe because the team has been restructured so much lately? There seems not to be any strong design identity except for the 8 series, and maybe the Z4.
For me the X5 is just bizarre mix of the current X5, the ugly large grill and the Jeep (or Japanese) rear lights... A SUV with no identity...
