Yep, I was wondering about that diagram as well. But every non-laser headlight I’ve seen doesn’t have the cornering light cutout. It’s just solid black plastic in the corner of the light with no additional mirrors. Perhaps someone with the standard lights can post a photo. I didn’t snap one at the dealer.

I think we can all agree on that... the question is how to get BMW to admit this error and fix it? My service guy said it was working when they tested it. Obviously, he was wrong.

Here is a standard headlight (found it posted by someone else in the forum). No cornering light.

Is it just me or is this thread like Groundhog Day?
The issue appears to be software related. Has anyone actually raised this to a dealer to generate a PUMA case with BMW? My G05 is on order but on collection if the cornering lights don't work I will just ask them to investigate. I bet the next major software update will fix this. Here is a shot showing the cut out... |

Mine is the same, standard LED lights no cutout, so manual is wrong it seems saying there are cornering lights.

LOL ... I believe with LED the fog light should turn on as a corner/curb light. I strongly believe it is a software adjustment BMW NEED to take care of

As far as I know there are 3 types of headlights one can order (at least in Europe this is the case):
1. Lasers - have cornering light 2. Adaptive LED - have cornering light 3. (Non-adaptive) LED. no cornering light. Now it may be that in the US, you only either get 1. or 3. |

It would seem like there are two issues: 1. The training doc is wrong or they are using the wrong light assemblies for the Adaptive LEDs. 2. In all cases, the cornering lights when making a turn do not work. |
