Such an ignorant comment. I truly feel sorry for people like you. It's a big contributing factor for why the US is on a downhill trend.
Are you from Bogota?

Also, it must suck to have to live like that lol. Good luck and be safe, man.
Level IIIa usually only guarantees to stop handgun calibers.

On a side note, this thread definitely reveals who's been outside the US and who hasn't lol.
I read somewhere that a lot of Americans don't even have a passport. Is that true?
I live in America, born and grew up in the UK.... my son has 2 passports.... he's American.....

Nice car OP. My understanding is the gap between the rich and poor is the widest of any country, I do international insurance and are well aware of the do's and dongs in Brazil.

Smart to be safe rather than sorry!

Yeah super sad but the majority of gun deaths are self-inflicted... which suggests a completely different problem, but most people want something to blame other than people's decisions.

Yeah making it harder probably saves lives but at a cost to the freedoms of those who obey the laws. We really need mental health reform in this country... not nerfing anything dangerous. A big part of that is being honest, talking about mental health, and not just medicating everyone because they are sad that their life isn't what they wanted. Life is hard, it sucks sometimes, it's not fair... but to be honest, struggle makes you into the human you are supposed to be.

All my friends are a little fucked up... even if they grew up with the money... bad shit happens and its how we deal with it that builds the character. I grew up with money but in order for my family to have the money, I had a workaholic dad and a Mom in Med School.... so money wasn't an issue, but I raised myself. I would never ever wish that on my kids, but then I look at how that has shaped me, my friends, that were raised similar... The struggle is a good thing and teaches you what you are capable of.

Sorry for the off-topic thread jack, but everyone on here is pretty good about decent intellectual conversation.
Well stated!

America is a very huge place between the coastal states and it's filled with people who never left their state. No need for a passport.

So the U.K. does actually have something going for it!!👍
I bet its actually higher than that... its probably in the 60% range and 40% have more than one gun in the house.

But considering the sheer number of guns here, America really has very little gun crime (we like to make a big deal about it)... 300+ million guns go every day without ever being used in a crime. It's something like 1% of 1% that ever actually gets used in a crime and something like 90% of those are stolen from law-abiding citizens. The numbers are really really tricky since it becomes such a hot charged topic, and rarely is data compiled without a bias.

Agree with both. Majority of gun deaths in the US are from suicides and criminals. But everyone's probably well aware of how politics work so...

To the People saying OP should just leave, it's not that easy and most people living in third world countries don't have the luxury of just packing up and leaving.

2022 BMW M3  [10.00]
I'm going to share this since it's relevant; but not BMW related.

When in college, I worked as a mechanic at a local garage, and it also happened to be a gas station. One day a new guy showed up, mid 30s, Middle Eastern, whom they hired to pump gas, and he worked there for about a year.

We became friendly (I was maybe 20 at the time, and grew up in suburban NJ), and so finally one day I asked him how he got here - he was intelligent, always fresh for work despite the fact that he's be around fuel for 9 hours, drove a new Accord..why pump gas?

He was from Pakistan, the son of a rich family, who lived in a mansion. One day, his family came home to them being robbed. They tied up him and his sisters and mother, killed his father and looted the house. When the cops came, they finished taking what the criminals left. Fearing for their lives, they came here to start fresh. Imagine going from being rich, living in a mansion, to starting out all over in a brand new place. That sounds fantastic, but it's a true story.

Opened my eyes, a kid who's only real concern was how big a turbo I could fit underneath the hood of my Z.
