Another Issue
Hello gang,
Back again with another question/issue with my Mother in Law's X5 xdrive40i.... My wife and I have raved about BMW and their service and customer relations. Well it seems as though she got the one car that doesn't follow that protocol. She encountered issue #1 when she saw that a small piece leather was "sliced" on the steering wheel. The dealer refused to help her until she recovered a picture on the night she took delivery and proved it was there. Now- with less then 2k miles, she starts the car this morning to be welcomed by a "check engine light" can anyone offer any insight on this? Any random CEL this early on and with such low milage? Thanks in advance

Was her car sitting for a long time?? Low battery can throw a code. These cars are very sensitive to battery drain. If you let them sit longer than few weeks without a long drive to charge them up, you need a battery tender on them.
