Nope. I'm in NC. It doesn't snow enough to warrant spending money on snow tires.

It’s not necessarily the snow. At temps below 45 degrees, the rubber in performance summer tires harden and become like pucks. They will slide out easy, so be careful on cold days.

Pretty brave of you to drive a 5000 lbs car on performance summer tires up to the mountains on a ski trip.

How did it handle in the cold?

Like others have said, you don't need snow to put winter tires on. Anything below 45 degrees F and summer tires become a liability. Try driving this car on a 30 degree day with wetness on the road.

Also, for those who have gotten their windows tinted, did you do all windows plus rear or did you just do the two front windows?

On my Lexus (which I hope to trade out of soon) I tinted all windows but the windshield with Formula One Pinnacle Pi35F2, kinda a light tint which in hot Texas is all you need because of the science behind this material. Let me tell you, I can be driving in the summer on a stretch of road, hot west sun exposure on the driver's side, arm resting on the door against the glass and it's as cool as Christmas!

If we make a deal on an X5 I'll use the same brand and tint. It is that good. Cost me $139 back in July 2012.

I ordered the 20" wheels too for ride quality and tire choices. After seeing the photos of the 740M wheel on this thread, now I love how they look too.

Also, the all-weather mats are good. They are by no means as good as the factory set that were in my A6 that I traded in as they are not nearly as slip resistant, but for the price I paid, I'm happy.

Is this trim dark aluminum mesh or aluminum teragon? I really like it. I have black interior spec'd and can't make up my mind on trim. None of them are that great.
