After 45 days stuck in QC, it found a carrier Monday evening and delivered yesterday to the dealer. Dealer had it driven to me today! So pumped.

Did you check whether there was no body damage which was repainted? Hopefully not, but better to discover this now than in 2 years.

Funny you're asking, since I actually picked it up yesterday. When I saw another X5 LCI at the Lotus dealer that gave me the Eletre I just couldn't ignore how beautiful the LCI is, plus the Eletre would've meant another 6-7 months of waiting and it's considerably more expensive, since Lotus doesn't offer any discounts, while BMW does. (The S would've been around 25% more expensive than the X5, although the total costs would've been quite similar since it's cheaper to operate for me.)

In the showroom I couldn't really see any difference, so looked good to me. But I brought it straight to the wrapper applying PPF, so didn't have much time to check it out.

I also agreed with the dealer to have it inspected by an independent 3rd party once the diffusor is available again.

Plus I damaged the trunk lid right away when it opened too far for the ceiling of my carport, so it will have to be repainted again. Oooh well ...

Congratulation. I saw your car on week 25 - it is a beautiful color. worth the waiting. I drove a LCI in June for 400 Km and it is impressive.
Hopefully, I will take my car this Saturday as well.
