Week 19 vehicles in QC
Anyone with a week 19 vehicle made it out of QC yet?
Mine was a 5/11 build date but it hasn't moved since then. Hoping to see some movement early next week. Watching week 20s getting dispatched. |

Ours was a 5/13 build, and we are in the same boat.

5/11 build as well. I (and hopefully others) will post here if and when status changes. If it’s due to a parts shortage then I’m flummoxed as to how subsequent build weeks can move along while the 19s remain tossed aside. The sad thing is they can’t or won’t expedite transit once we get out of this morass. It’s going to be a minor miracle if we, especially those out West, can get ours before July.

That was my thought -- keep this open to see if anyone has movement and to be a support group (haha). I'm trying to avoid extra lease payments, but this 100% will ensure I have at least 2 more, which is annoying.
It seems like the issue hit all Week 19 rides, so I'm not sure if it was option related or (more likely) some standard part on all X5s. I attached my build to see if it is any option triggering this. |

Since the Week 20's are shipping, it'll be interesting to see if they are showing up without planned features, and if they are all missing the same one(s). That would be a key indicator of what's going on with ours.

What's your best guess of a supply shortage? HK Audio again? |

I had a week 20 build that got moved up to week 19. And like the rest of us stuck in QC. I really would like to know what part there having an issue with. I wish I knew someone that worked at the factory..lol

I'm still pretty sure they're all (X5/6/7) being held up, except for mine and anyone else doing PCD. Mine's currently "at the dealership" (status 198), the "dealership" being the Performance Center. But I also wouldn't be shocked if it's just sitting over there without a head unit or something.

I've been informed that our M50i is coming without the lower tail gate powered but that's the only deletion. We have some travel planned in late June so I'll be happy as long as it arrives in the next few weeks.

Yea I'm with you, we have travel plans 1st week of July. So I think I'm safe to get it before then. Riding to Charlotte for my wife's birthday this coming weekend so it would have been nice to have before then. Not sure that it'll happen now. Fingers crossed. Lucky for me that the transit shouldn't be that long since I'm in SC.

Hey all ScaldedDog asked me to post up about my week 19 build.
I took delivery Friday 5/20 this is after it sat a full week waiting to be picked up. Seems like it was actually built week 18. Never was stuck in QC, it went from in queue to produced in 3 days. M50i Arctic Grey with coffee merino and carbon trim. Has all the big option packages, basically everything. Only deletion was the powered tailgate, but it still has a button to open, not an old school lever like I was originally expecting. This thing is a beast. My first BMW. Hope everyone get theirs soon and with all the options you've selected. |

For what it's worth, My week 19 build (5/11) which is EU specd, is on't its way to Bremerhaven, with an enhacement code of 0065630300, which means it's missing the central iDrive touch screen (as it was in the beginning of the year)..
So i guess there was a short lack of touchscreens again, and we're the ones affected (or at least mine is) I hope it doesn't take long to get it installed after all.. |

The dealer will not install it, it should be installed by BMW AG Group in either Bremerhaven port or Zeebrugge port, before being shipped to the dealer.. |
