When did you order and when did you get an allocation?

Placed my order the 18th of August and was originally a Week 39 production but was moved to week 40. Just got off the phone with my dealer to discuss PCD option and again was told they don't do that. This is one of the larger dealers in New England so I was very disappointed in hearing that. I do not have the time or the patience to climb up the chain of command to see about having the option. Needless to say I'm not happy at all.

I wasn't aware that the dealer could deny you wanting to do a PCD? As long as it's an ordered vehicle, why does it matter to them? I assume it's let work for the dealer by not having to prep the vehicle for delivery to you etc.

They can’t but many either do or play dumb. Supposedly it costs them some money when a customer does PCD but have never seen verification of that. A call to PCD should get the dealer to change their mind.

Thought so. Crazy guys. They were denying me to change the build (add Trailer Hitch) even though order was still in Order bank saying your final build is already submitted and can not be modified now. I had to fight for the change by providing so many reference as it can be changed until status hit 150.

I am back to week 40! After this weird push to week 44 on Monday, I decided to call Genius again. Normally no deletes either. Of course, things may change but that was good news!

That is great news! Hope you get yours soon. I'm a bit stressed about losing PAP like a few have. I was even warned that might be a problem when I ordered. The strange thing is it seems like vehicles within a week or 2 build from each other are different - 1 has some feature and the other does not. My mouse is wearing out refreshing my build page every 10 minutes!

As far as Tulley I'm not happy with them over this PCD option or lack of and also another issue I had with my 440i when they told me I needed to spend almost 200 dollars to fix a supposedly broken child seat harness cover in the backseat only to find out it wasn't broken just needed to be reseated. I had the vehicle in for something else so decided to just have them fix it as it had popped off its hinge but had fallen behind the seat. When they told me the price I was like yeah I'll take a look at it. Sure enough a few minutes of looking at another cover and how the spring was orientated popped right back in - wasn't broken at all.

That's funny, I had a similar experience where after I asked to add a few things the CA told me my order had gone to 150 and it was too late to make changes… even though the production week was still over a month away and I knew it was still 111.

Weird that dealers would push back on making changes. I wonder why? It's not like it's a ton of work for them…

Send an email to PerformanceCenterDelivery@bmwmc.com and let them know what you're wanting to do PCD, but you're dealer is saying no.

Maybe a dealer opts out so they can slap dealer add-ons on a vehicle? Can’t do dealer add-ons if the car doesn’t make it to the dealer first. Just speculation. Probably not the main reason. Well, hopefully your dealer isn’t trying to throw on any unwanted add-ons.

Wait, I've been following the delivery threads these past weeks and the "Delivery timeline to LA" is the only thread where I came across a PAP deletion. I don't think I ever saw any other deletions. What packages are you seeing being reported as deleted?

Just went to 111 after being 112 for a few weeks. Was originally Week 39 then moved to Week 40. Now who knows... frustrating especially considering many have moved up in the schedule.

I was in the same boat in getting bumped back to status 111 last week but saw movement this week to status 150.

8/27 – 111 – Order placed and accepted, production number assigned, Week 40
9/5 – 112 – Scheduled for production
9/16 – 111 – Went backwards a step
9/19 - Called BMW Genius, confirmed move to week 43
9/20 - 112 - Scheduled for production BMW Genius confirmed move back to week 40
9/21 - 150 - Production begins, ProdDate 10/7
