W2 (next year)? Is this the latest feedback from genius?

You got pushed back all the way to Week 2 of next year?
Exactly my question!! Week 2 of 2023??? That changes everything then

At this stage, we have seen orders move backwards then move up again. By then it totally makes sense to consider a MY24 but there's still plenty of time in which your order might move back up again.

Yeah back n forth movement is understandable but a jump from Week 46 to Week 2 of next year makes no sense. Either it's a typo or Genius gave wrong info

Two things..
what seems to be the normal turn around from production week until it's at the dealerships? (For reference I'm in Missouri)

Will I regret not getting the M Sport? I liked the look of the xLine and couldn't tell much difference other than body.. am i missing something?

My order:
45e
xLine
MGM w/ Congac seats
Executive Package
Driving Assist Package
Climate Comfort Package
Parking Assist Package
21" - 744 wheels
Running boards
Trailer hitch

Ordered on 9/13 with production number assigned that day.
There is a significant difference appearance wise between the xLine and M Sport. I personally wouldn't get the X5 in xLine.

The prodDate data item is only filled in once you hit Production Begins (150), prior to that you need to call Genius or ask your CA for the production week.

Attention I did not get moved to Week 2! Sorry my wording sucked. I was simply stating that those of us moved to Week 45 may end up being revised to an even later date like Week 2 that's all. Sorry for the misinformation

Originally was week 41, then pushed to week 43 then back to 41 and IDK which week I’m on now
Given update happened between 11p yesterday and 6:30 am ET assuming it’s some sort of a robot queue manager
I have a 45e with pretty much everything but the leather seats and fancy breaks
Live on the east coast so not worried about getting it before EOY but sure is a disappointment as I was hoping to get it out on the road before bad weather settles in

Upd: Week 46 O_o
Aaaaand we’re back to scheduled for production as of this morning
I’m thinking more and more that the production queue is managed by some sort of algorithm that runs once a day and updates the production week based on parts available etc. Given the state of supply chain it is spitting out those wild swings which might not be reflective of the actual plan

Will call later to check on the prod week and update it here

I talked to Genius over the weekend and was told week 45. Up from 40 originally. This is for a 45e so not entirely surprising.

I keep reading about the dreaded west coast transit times of 4 weeks+. What are people seeing for Mountain West? (Asking because I'm in New Mexico and I'm trying to determine cutoff week where I think about / pursue backup plan)
I'm purchasing a second 45e this year because a drunk pulled out in front of me in ABQ in July and totaled my first one. First one ordered in January completed end of Feb and took about 5 days to get to Denver if that helps at all...now sitting like others going from 111 to 112 back to 111.

Noticed that online configurator changed. My build is now 950 usd cheaper because the 21" M Y-spoke rims has no upcharge from the 20"star spoke wheels.
Cross checked with VIR.

It looks like factory is changing a little bit here and there on packages and options.

Back to 112 and BMWG said week 43 (from 46 as of yesterday). Hoping to see some positive momentum in week40 thread. Things seem to be ok until week 39.

Had to double-check this for myself, but you're right. The 21" wheels are now a standard option. Still wouldn't want them since you can't get tires for them though.

But if you select the xline, you still see the extra $950 extra for the 21” but requiring the m-package. It may just be an error in the configurator. The 20” 738 rims were gone last time I checked for the x-line.

Holy cow! I could see the date changed to production begins today!! Got the VIN and did the F12 trick. My date is 2022-10-14. Is that the day the car is going to be done? I was scheduled for Week 43 earlier.

Yes, that is the scheduled completion date.

I took over an existing BMW allocation from a dealer. It had a prod number already but then upgraded it full. it was in priority 3 though. When it was sold it changed to P1.
