We ordered a X5 45e in carbon black as well. We were on the fence about the color until we saw it in person at the dealer and that was all we needed to convince us. It looks better in person.

Congrats on getting a week 43 build. I have been moved to week 45 from week 40 originally. The wait is agonizing. haha

112 is good. I suspect most who actually get week 43 will go to 150 next week. I called today and am still week 43. I'll call next week if I don't go to 150 to see if I get moved back.

Hello all! New to this forum and another member of the week 43 cohort.

Order placed: Sep30 (was assigned an existing allocation and was in status 112 with a build week of 43)
Oct 7: Moved to Production begins with a projected prod date of 10-25

Ordered X5 45e MGM/Cognac sensafin with driver assist, parking assist, HK and wireless charging.

I was week 42, and the genius last week told me I'd shifted to week 43. No update as of this morning on "My Garage."

My build is a 45e with Harmon-Kardon audio and the trailer hitch as add-ons.

As of this AM, I'm still 112. I called BMWG yesterday to double-check and they confirmed that I'm still in wk 43. Fully loaded spec including trailer hitch. I saw someone post about a potential 740M wheel shortage, which is why the 741M wheels are currently a no-cost option -- hoping that my standard 740m wheels aren't causing a hold up

Called BMW Genius today and scheduled for week 43...so if it holds, 80 days from allocation to build...we'll see

Hmm... good question. Its been a long time since receiving allocation. I believe it was mid August, where I got a call from dealer that I can get allocation immediately, so I just made contract, and when I checked status like couple days later, it was already on 112. So yeah... waiting forever even there were no waitlist.

Assuming you got production number let's say around Aug 17 then around 60 days from that you should hit entering assembly line (based on other posts here) - so around October 17. So you should be hitting 150 before that - usually 1-2 weeks before. So this week and the next is the one to watch out for.

Thanks for the info, tempted to change to 741M but man those tires are so difficult to find. Hoping your car is built on schedule.

I called today and am still Week 43. I forgot to ask if the factory took a holiday yesterday. But she did say I should see a change to 150 in the next couple of days if there aren't any problems.

I'm with ya … I originally wanted the 741m but when I looked into the replacement costs and availability compared to the the 740m, that was the deciding factor. I'm planning to pick up some of the black 742s later down the line, the 22" tires seem to be cheaper than that 21"s

I have a m50 on order with 22s week 47 production . I tried changing to 20s—- no success
