First post here and jumping on the week 31 build discussion.

Last month I ordered an M60i--

Marina Bay Blue, Ivory White interior, 20" M Star Bi-color, M Sport Pro Pkg, Parking Assistance, Executive Package, Climate Control, 2VR Air Suspension, Bowers & Wilkins, Leather dash and Anthracite headliner.

This will be my second X5 and third BMW. Can't wait.

I'm a long time lurker on this board and very much appreciate all the great information sharing and sense of community here. Your insights have helped me tremendously.

I was originally scheduled for week 34 but called Genius this morning and they moved it up to week 31.

Dumb question, where can i find which week build corresponds to which calendar week? is there a specific BMW x5 calendar somewhere? not sure what its complicated like this... why not just say Aug 16 week for example.

BMW uses ISO weeks, where each number corresponds to what week we're in for the year. ie. We are in the 28th week of 2023, so week 28 runs from 7/10 - 7/16. This is pretty common in manufacturing

Mine just flipped today. M60i, so plenty of time the rest of this week to stay on schedule for week 31.

Had our BMW L2 Wall Charger installed today. Talk to BMW G and she stated usually the VIN is released 10 days prior to build date. The dealership agreed to have the BMW 3.0 pro camera installed at $735, I guess the price had dropped from $810 that they wanted to charge.

Haven't read much into that and the pros/cons! What was the cutoff to start installing 8.5?

8.5 is supposed to be installed at the factory starting with August production. Your X5 will be the test if they mean all August production or starting something in August.

You should as I was told by BMW G that it would be 10 days prior to the build date and it's actually 15 days prior.
