From what I read on Reddit, if your color shows as 490 - Individual or something like that then you'll lose the function. Google pulls up a lot of links from other Bimmerpost forums about 8TR, but do mention some things about 8TT and 8TU.

No, that wouldn't be for lane change assistant. That code is 8TR and is used when you order and Individual paint. All paints listed in the pricing guide have been tested/certified for the lane change assistant.

Edit: I should have looked on the next page since arRod1981 beat me to it.

Thanks guys - Dravit does show as (Ind) on my build sheet but I've only got 8TT, no 8TR.

Dravit is considered an Individual paint for ordering purposes but is not considered so for 8TR since it has been tested for the Lane Change Assistant. You should be good to go as far as that is concerned.

I found this post from the iX forum, and all of the people posting pictures of their builds have 8TT. Maybe check on the iX side to see if they're able to help decipher the 8TT code. There was another post in the X7 forum, but it didn't go anywhere.

Its probably documented in the technical workshop manuals but for the end consumer, BMW typically doesn't publish specifics about software decoding functionality.

So I ordered through a broker who confirmed everything for me before ordering but when I look at the options my exterior color is Alpine white and I ordered Mineral White Metallic. He said this is normal but should I be worried? The interior color is correct.

Yes, you definitely want them to edit the vehicle order because right now you are getting a Alpine white car. Week 32 is coming up fast.

I have a week 32 50e order in status 112, am pretty excited as it's not too far away at all now. I only ordered the car this month and was not expecting such a quick turnaround. Fingers crossed they have the cooling valve and other issues squared away at this point...

We were told by BMW Genius that our car would be produced in wk 32. Just now, the status changed to PRODUCTION BEGINS Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue!!! Does it mean the produce wk move forward maybe?

No, Production Begins means that a VIN has been assigned and that parts have been ordered/allocated. This usually happens about two weeks prior to assembly. Assembly will be done on your production day which you can get using the F12 process on the MyGarage screen.

Check your prod date by calling 1-800 number or use F12 in browser.

Now that you are in 150 your CA should be contacting the PC to let them know you want to do PCD. You should get a delivery date shortly after that. I don't think they are too backed up so likely a few weeks. Let us know though so we can have that data point.
