Little over two weeks out from estimated build week and I'm still at status 112. Based on what I've seen most people have flipped to 150 at this point. I wonder what the holdup is.

I am right behind you in week 7! Also X6MC. Sounds like they are running ahead of schedule! I will follow your updates on here. Placed my order two days ago and at “scheduled for production” now.

BTW - does production really take a full two weeks? IIRC my X4M sailed through once it hit status 150.

Your build is very similar to mine, I stuck with the bi-color wheels because I heard the black were tough to keep clean, and the bi-color on my X4M look “almost” black most of the time. Other than that, just different exterior color, Merina Bay Blue here. I overlooked the option for the wheel locks, but I assume they can be added later.

Assembly takes less than a day. Production Begins does not mean that assembly has begin but that a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated. This usually happen about two weeks prior to the production week.

Great deal! What leads you to believe they are ahead of schedule? I am getting the entire car, including the wheels and brake calipers, ceramic coated, so keeping the wheels clean will be easy. I actually added the wheel locks at the dealer's recommendation.

Sorry, my memory was apparently fuzzy from my 2019 X4 M40i and 2022 X4M builds; I didn’t remember the production process taking longer than a few days but it’s been a while. Thanks @TurtleBoy for the correction.

I didn’t see wheel locks in the pricing or ordering guide. Are they just added by the dealer as an accessory and installed when the car arrives? Definitely a good idea as crime seems to be picking up everywhere. My X4M was stolen from a restaurant valet last summer (recovered an hour later, I really lucked out as they ran out of gas just before getting it to Mexico, and I almost refueled before dinner but was short on time). Sounds like I don’t have to modify my order for these.

I’ve never done a ceramic coating since I always lease. Mind if I ask what the going rate is to have your car done, with the wheels and calipers? I requested a quote from my local CeramicPro shop. More interested in helping the car stay clean as opposed to protecting the paint. Does it actually help repel the brake dust or just make everything easier to clean? Are those DIY ceramic sprays a waste of time?

I believe I saw wheel locks on the order sheet. They will be installed when the car is built, but I'm sure that's something you can add afterward. As for the ceramic coating, it makes cleaning the entire car a breeze. Dirt and brake dust just rinse right off. I had my previous vehicle ceramic coated, and it was definitely a game-changer. The pricing will fluctuate based on location and the shops. Ceramic Pro, from my experience, seems to be a little cheaper than some of the other professional coatings, but I've heard good things. You may want to shop around. I have no experience with DIY ceramic sprays, but I've heard good things about Adams Graphene Ceramic coating and Gyeon coatings. You'd save quite a bit as well.

I just hit “production begins” status, right behind ya evanseric21. Do the images in My Garage glitch out for you sometimes? Mine lost the wheel selection and red brake calipers. I think it’s a glitch because my existing X4M is showing up with the wrong wheels too.
