I think its a glitch. I have a X6 M60i that went status 150 a day or two ago and mine did the same.

Showing a 2/13 production date.

Why do you think there is a glitch? That sounds correct.

Edit: Never mind, you were responding to the image question.

Now that you are 150, you can use the "F12" process to get your assembly date.

I just purchased an X5 that is also ordered (by the dealer) and it also currently showing code 150 - Production Started. I'm not sure how long it has been in this status. Any idea what the wait is likely to be from here before it is shipped/arrives at my dealer?

As mentioned above, you can use the "F12" process to see what your assembly date it. Production Begins doe snot mean that assembly has started but rather that a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated. Actual Assembly takes less than a day.

Is this date usually spot on or does it tend to be a conservative estimate? Mine is 2/13. Obviously hoping for sooner but will stop looking at it for the next 12 days if it’s pretty accurate. Edit: someone with an X5 order went from production begins to in transit in 6 days in December, so seems like anything is possible.

TurtleBoy ,
How long after you get your VIN does it take to view your owner's manual online? Whenever I enter my VIN, I keep getting an error. I was able to sign into the myBMW app with my VIN, but I also get an error on the BMW Guide app.

It is generally right on but if production is going well it can move up a day or so.

You can ignore that person, they were wrong and were misunderstanding the process.

Last I saw it was not until after it is built. The best thing to do is just get a VIN from a dealer's site for a similar speced vehicle.

I got my VIN about 2 weeks ago and I just got access the owners manual this evening. I have checked a few times today. My production date was the 31st, went into 182 - assigned a carrier and I called Genius today and they told me it is expected at the dealership Tuesday the 6th.

Yes, I don't think you get access until it's built, as Turtle suggested. I'm about a week behind you. My production date is the 8th. My rep at BMW West thinks the car should be there by the 15th or 16th. I'll see how long yours takes.

Only a week from production date to dealership? That’s pretty fast! IIRC last time my car took about a month to make it to my dealership in SoCal. I’m about twice as far away as Texas so I’d be stoked if I could get my car about two weeks after my 2/13 production date. Curious if TurtleBoy can give me a better idea of what to expect. Is a late February delivery even remotely possible? Also a good sign that they bumped up aussieintexas‘s production date a few days. Maybe they are eager to retool the line for 2025 MY.

West Coast is generally in the 3-4 week area since they go by train.

Is paying for direct shipping an option? Sounds like avoiding the train would speed things up. Also, any idea if the factory operates on weekends?

No, that is not an option. It depends on how busy things are and how the production schedule is going. Sometimes they will work on Saturdays. The week starts on Sunday nights.
