What would happen if you didn't get them.
It's it just a simple light on the dash.
Do you know if it will restrict the car from doing anything. Like no max output. And it'll warn you to stop slowly.

Very sharp looking rims...Congrats
How much are they including the wheels/TPMS? And is it safe to install at Canadian tire?

I've booked GTS g509 20x9.5 titanium set of wheels with BLIZZAK DM-V2 275/45R20 and 4 TPMS for $2700 CAN tax in, but I'm a bit worried that load rating is low on the g509. Do you have the load ratings on g509?
Should I go with g508 instead?
Thanks!

Well I had to learn both unit systems in my ‘murican school. And technically a KG is a unit of mass, not weight.

Where are you getting them from.
Where are you getting them installed.
What is the installation cost.
Where did you get tpms from.
The shop will have all the details of the wheels.

Buying and installing tires at Canadian tire gives you 5 year warranty.
I haven't got tpms yet.

If you go with a set of wheels/tires without the tpms you will get the yellow light on the dash and the notifications in the idrive. No limp mode or power restrictions.

From experience, i can tell you that as you are ordering you might consider skipping on the tpms. After a while driving with that yellow light on you will start to think about it more and more and you will regret not installing the tpms from the start. Thats what happened to me and i ended up pulling the wheels/tires and installing the tpms 2 months later in 2012...

I also discovered that the idrive in the g05 x5 has a dynamic air psi recommendation for the tires depending on the ambient temp. Meaning the x5 will change tire psi recommendation on the fly and tell you in idrive based on its sensors...So if you are driving a long distance with a big temp differential, the tpms would alerts the idrive and in turn it would tell you what psi to run considering all those variables. Thats another new feature that was not in the previous gen to my knowledge. It was kinda there but now its way more pronounced.

1. Load rating on G509s is 815kg per wheel. Should still be fine.
2. Wouldn't trust the Chuckleheads at Canadian Tire to refill my windshield wiper fluid, never mind install TPMS correctly.

I'm only doing it at Canadian tire cause I get 20% employee discount and the only way of getting 5 year warranty is by them installing it.

I got a set of Michelin 4S this past summer from them and I got warps in two tires one month after getting them brand new.
They would have cost about 350 each to replace, but they were free.
I'll probably not but another set of tires without this kind of warranty.

I am confused. You put 20" tire one 21" wheel?
