Tinted the fog lights

Used a light VVivid vinyl film to tint the fog lights, super easy to do and makes them more stealthy
Wrapping the silver pieces in satin black is next.
Let me know what you think.

It's very subtle, really hard to notice until you compare with the original pic. It looks good!

Do you plan on wrapping all the silver trim on your X5, even the ones on the windows?

I have the aftermarket silver trim pieces for the front bumper that I will be wrapping in satin black 3M vinyl next and popping them in. Will have to see if I want to tackle the window trim after that.

Sweet. Looking forward to when you post pics after you're done with the other trim pieces!

Looks good...I decided to do the same. I tinted the fog lights and side reflectors.

if you don't mind I ask, where did you find the aftermarket silver trim pieces? and were they difficult to remove? I've been heavily considering doing the same to it myself

I got them from this site https://paintedautobodyparts.com/
The existing ones are tricky to remove without breaking the tabs. There is a post or two on that somewhere and a YouTube video. I still haven't done mine yet, hopefully soon.

Thank you very much. Just painted the lower valences/skid plates on my g05 and thinking that the fog light trim might now look out of place. Was considering painting them as well but the shape makes masking seem like a hassle. Would rather wrap. Again, thank you

You are welcome! Changing the grill to black would make for a complete blackout 😃

I’m not sure I want a complete black out. Was considering the cerium grille on ind since it should match with the rims. Idk it’s a work in progress lol
