Likely going to be putting down a deposit on an 50e order tomorrow. It'll be completely loaded including the m-sport packages (not doing the carbon fiber mirror caps though). My original thought was to completely black it out with sapphire black. my intention is to have the 740m wheel black powder coated. I've seen some pics of the skyscraper gray with m-sport and blacked out wheels and it looks amazing. I think my biggest concern with the black is it kind of hides a lot of the sight lines and contours of the x5. What do you guys think?

I've had many black cars. Went with SS Gray this time. Here's a photo with 742M wheels in bi-color. I've never been a fan of all black wheels but it's a personal choice.

LDT Skyscraper Gray just pops wonderfully with m-sport package! you really cant go wrong with black or bi-color, that contrast is something else!

I have Sapphire Black which is very nice but my next X5 will be Carbon Black. I love the way carbon black shifts to dark blue in the sunlight, gorgeous!

if I had to choose, it would be SS Grey. hides surface scratches better thus ‘easier’ to maintain its look, and like you said, can see the body lines better. I installed stealth ppf over Arctic Grey and really liked how the body lines show even more

SS gray for me as well. Too many black n thr street, and I like the lower maintenance of gray.

Another vote here for skyscraper gray. Sophisticated look with the black merino leather and carbon fiber trim.

I also like the gray much better for the X5, not to mention it is easier to maintain and ages better than Black.

Black I love for some sport cars, like the R8, 911 or C8.

Ordered Skyscraper Grey with Cognac and the carbon fibre trim option. Saw the SS grey with Cognac in showroom and it works brilliantly together... feels more 'airy' inside too with the lighter colour than black.
