Hi everyone, I have a 2024 X5M competition, it's been at the port since Sunday (1/28). I am in Seattle - does anyone have a timeline of how long it took your vehicle to come from the plant/port to west coast or Seattle? Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. It of course varies but not unusual for it to take a week or so.

Edit: This timeline is referring to the amount of time at the port on the West Coast. The entire trip takes 3 - 4 weeks.

Thank you! Do you know estimated how long the shipping has been taking from once it gets on the train? I've heard variations of a couple days up to 4-6 weeks for it to get to Renton

To the PNW it is usually 3 - 4 weeks. To make sure we are on the same page, which at the Port are you referring to? The one in KC, the one in Renton or did you get accessories with your build so it is th first one at the Accessories center? My answer was assuming it was already on the Wets Coast.

Sorry for not being clear - when tracking and when I called the genius, they said its waiting and online it says 'At the Port' - from what I gathered on the phone call, it would be in KC and waiting to come across.

Genius has been fairly decent with the train tracking in the least year or so. I would think less than a week for the KC port but of course it all depends on the situation.

Ugh! Such a long wait for it to arrive, its crazy how it takes that long!

There has been a shortage of train cars for a while now.

Sounds like it - But this is way ahead of what was estimated when I ordered on Jan 4th! They said it would not be coming till April!

Got an update today, its still at the 'interchange' and waiting to be placed on a rail to come to either Oxford or Renton - they said if it goes to Oxford it will actually make it to Bellevue, WA alot quicker than coming to the renton rail - BUT the genius did say they expect it should be at the dealer in 10 days or less!

My SA was finally able to get in contact with their rep, my vehicle was on hold a tthe VIA installation Center at the plant in Spartanburg because of the Carbon Fiber exhaust tips that I had added as an accessory, apparently the tips are backordered and they have on idea when they will come - but know its not soon - the rep recommend to remove that and they can release the vehicle. The vehicle should now be released immediately as the accessory is removed.

That is why I asked earlier if you had any accessories, that is the first port you will hit.

Wow, I initially added the exhaust tips but then removed them because I didn't want them to be the only carbon fiber element on the exterior. I recently bought a bunch of carbon fiber accessories from IND, including mirror caps, a spoiler, a grill, and exhaust tips. After doing a lot of research, IND was the only dealer that had the exhaust tips in stock. When I ordered mine, I believe they had 4 in stock. If you really want them, I'd recommend placing an order as soon as possible.

Sorry! I did not realize it! Glad my SA got it figured out. Apparently it's just been sitting there and they are saying if I do not remove it - it could be months!

Yah i had no idea, otherwise I would have removed them as soon as the vehicle was done as they are back ordered and have no idea when they will come.

Still waiting for delivery. It has not been delivered to the dealer yet - thinking another 1-2 weeks is what they keep saying.
