I am on the edge of my couch waiting for some good news from you. aussieintexas appeared to be bumped up two days, which would have been today for you. I’m guessing there has not been any change as of yet. At least you don’t have to wait 3-4 weeks for transport via train!

I just came across this I just wanted to share if it helps anyone.
I ordered and x5 drive40i, Brooklyn Grey with Tartufo Extended Merino and added all the packages except the air suspension bc it was not available at the time. The dealer I ordered from here in Greenville SC said they had a big allocation bc they literally had 1 X5 on the lot and the car would get there in 4-6 weeks. so far here's what has happened:
Ordered: 1/4/24
Order Changed:1/6/24 (changed the wheels)
Scheduled For Production: 1/25/24 Week 8(Told by BMW Genius)
Production Begins: 2/5/2024 (started Week 6)

I read some earlier stuff about the f12 so here's that :

Welcome to the forum. For clarity, Production Begins does not mean that assembly has begun but rather that a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated. Assembly will be done on your assembly date and it takes les than a day.

What information from the "F12" process are you looking for help on?

So, what else can we know from the f12 process? I see where it says the 2/19 prodDate so that aligns with what BMW Genius initially said. Ig the new person I talked to thought the same thing about "Production Begins."

It is not really needed now since there aren't the ever changing supply issues like there was but the option codes were a big thing to check. BMW would remove various features and then put an option code in there to denote that. Dealers or future owners were not notified of the removal until delivery.

My date using the F12 is Feb 14, same as I was told by the BMW Customer Service Genius and Same as my sales rep. They both told me that it is the date the build will be complete. BTW ordered the car on Jan 20.

I had a 2/13 build date for my M60i.

Just checked using the F12 trick and it was moved forward to 2/10.

Starting to get excited now!

I thought the build date or prodDate on the f12 is the day the car begins assembly and other processes, right?

It is both. Assembly takes less than a day, about four hours or so.

So by the assembly, you mean the entire building process (up until Ready for transport), as seen on the tracking page on BMW's website and not the "Exterior assembly, begins" step.

It is the entire assembly process starting with Entering Assembly Line which you should see that day or the night before. Obviously if there are any QC delays then it will take longer to be ready for transport.

Nope no change unfortunately. I was hoping for the same.

I'm still scheduled for February 8th. At this point, I don't think I'll get moved up. I'm just hoping I don't get pushed back. I also have an individual color, so I don't know if that plays a role.

Weird how a later date can get pushed ahead of an earlier date.
