Pronounced Latching Sound when Closing Door?
This is a nit pick but I noticed when closing the doors of our G05, particularly the front passenger door, it makes a relatively pronounced latching sound instead of the muted thunk I'd expect from a BMW (heck, or even non premium cars these days). It sounds like a car door might've sounded 15-20 years ago. Anyone else experience this?

The soft close doors are an option on the 40i unless maybe we are talking about two different features. I guess I should say the automatic soft close doors are available as an option in the Executive tier for the 40i. Maybe they are standard on the 50.

Note our car does not have the soft close door option. Still, 1 door sounds different than the other 3 and they all sound different than my 340i which has a proper "thunk" when the doors are shut.

Actually, now that you mention it, the doors do sound different versus my F15. I used to cringe with the sound of the way the doors slammed on the F15. It was always when my kids slammed them..so loud!! But on the G05 the sound of the slam is much reduced. I do not have soft close doors btw.

Its possible the strike plate is not aligned properly on the frame. Ask your dealer to check.
