Thanks for confirming. I have a Mercedes C300 which came with the kit. Wanted to make sure if I missed for my X5. Will definitely buy a kit. Of course non bmw brand. Thanks again.

Some dealers include various things with your purchase that aren't part of the vehicle from the factory for US customers. In Germany, you're required to have a warning triangle and a first aid kit, as you are also required to stop and offer aid if you come across an accident.

Weird, I had the BMW dealer do a $150 oil/filter service on my 15YO M3 recently and they gave me a brand new first aid kit when I picked it up. It was a No Charge line item on the bill so it’s definitely still a thing.
