Oh well, I will continue to monitor it but not keep my hopes up. I know I have NFC so why they left out Digital Key when its like probably a difference is software is beyond me.

Be glad you have a car that accepts digital key... MY2019 no luck yet, apparently I lack the hardware.

Kinda useless to me. I don’t use the wireless charger because my water bottle blocks it, I carry my key fob I’m my pocket all the time which I prefer and I’m the only one that drives the vehicle. Just like the LCD display key….useless and have never used it.

Anyone got it to work? I have receive an update on my Samsung S22 ultra yesterday and upgraded Samsung Pass to Samsung Wallet but still the same error "your phone is not compatible with digital key" I restarted my phone many times but still the same .

They're saying it will work on Samsung soon. it's working on all Samsungs except S22 and fold 3. Not included yet I believe. That's so stupid from BMW

I have Samsung S22 Ultra, you have to update samsung wallet. It now use Samsung Wallet.

It started working on my S22 Ultra back in August after an update. This is a flag ship phone and should have been included a month or 2 after it's release. You wonder how long it will take them to include the S23.

The reason your can not setup BMW digital key on your Galaxy S22 is that DK or DK+ are only available for Samsung devices in 7 markets: France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, U.K. and U.S.
As you already posted your answer few pages above:
"BMW Digital Key is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S21*, S21+* and S21 Ultra*. BMW Digital Key requires at least Android 12 and can only be used with Teleservices (SA 6AE) and Comfort Access (SA 322 or SA 3DK).
*Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra are available in: France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, U.K., U.S.."

I have no clue why is that formulated so convoluted and obscure in numerous BMW regional web sites and press materials, but it leads to great confusion. And why all dealers do not provide this info. Also why BMW can not simply use a correct error message in MyBMW app?! E.g. "BMW DK is not available in Canada". iPhone or Pixel will work.

It's working now in Canada on my S22 ultra about 4 months ago when I got Samsung Pay application update.

I'm in Ireland and have S22 Ultra. When I open Samsung Wallet app, it says my device isn't compatible with Samsung Wallet or Samsung Pay. Just for this reason, I'm thinking of switching to Apple. It surprising that Wallet doesn't work on their most expensive phone. Does anyone know if or when Samsung Wallet will work on S22 Ultra?

Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay both worked on S22, and also now on my S23 Ultra.

I think it depends where you are based. It's nothing to do with BMW, its a Samsung restriction

tantan911 That is great to hear! But it might be Samsung added Canada to the country list where DK services are provided? I am curious to see reports from people with Samsung devices outside those 7 markets if they can get DK/DK+ working.
It is also interesting if this depends on region of the car or region of the phone? Or the region of inserted SIM?

EDIT: Recently read a Samsung announcement that Wallet will be available in 8 more countries during 2023 including Canada: "Samsung Electronics today announced Samsung Wallet1 will be available in eight new markets, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan2 starting at the end of January"
And the total number of countries is 21: "Last year, Samsung successfully launched the Samsung Wallet platform and expanded its services to 21 countries — Bahrain, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea,3 Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam, UAE, the U.K. and the U.S."

BMWfever - this is expected as you are in US, which is one of the 7 markets where DK/DK+ are supposed to work on Samsung devices
