X5 xDrive 50e on order

Hello all,

New to this forum and to BMW. I ordered a 2024 X5 xDrive50e on 10/9/2023, and should take delivery sometime in Nov -- my Production # is 4864912.

First time to actually special order a car. To my surprise, I got a great deal so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I will be moving to BMW from Mercedes (currently have a 2020 GLE 350 4Matic).

Overall, my BMW sales experience was quite different from what I recently experienced at Mercedes. The Mercedes production/supply chain is all screwed up at the moment, and the quality out of Vance is disappointing. I was looking at a GLE 450e (PHEV), but couldn't find anything the wife liked for anywhere close to the deal I got on my special order X5 xDrive50e.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your order. Hopefully the wait won't be too bad.

If you read a bit more, you'll see that BMW isn't without its supply chain issues like MB, or really any other manufacturer.

But fingers crossed, things seem to have been stable for the last few months.

Hoping all goes well for you, and I think you'll enjoy the X5 50e more than the GLE!

Hoping the UAW strike isn't affecting BMW's supply chain. Haven't heard anything, but you never know. Very happy with the value proposition in the X5 50e...and the fact it has a sweet straight 6!
