It's called Sports Display in the iDrive, will should you HP, torque, G-meter and some other metrics. Or you can keep pressing the BC button on the turn stalk until the HP and Torque meter shows up on the right side of the gauge cluster over the Tachometer.

Also, look at setting the home screen to live vehicle instead of the map. (Home > use the controller or sweep with a finger to pull out the right side hidden menu > select live vehicle.) Then tap on the live vehicle to pull up the left side menu. Then set the display options to whatever displays the huge, bright red set of gauges. Lots of interesting choices are available but not prominently documented.

Hi Titocosta -
As far as I know it only works in Sport Mode. Does work in operating system 8.5. So: Select Sport Mode on the drive console... Pull out the right hand menu on the screen and select Live Vehicle... Tap or click the Live Vehicle display on the screen to pull up the left hand content menu... Select adaptive content. |

This adaptive content feature is badly documented but amazing in use.
I was equally surprised to discover that content settings for Live Vehicle depending on the mode could display an elaborate incline meter for off-roading. One of the mysteries of the Live Vehicle display is why the initial display has to be tapped or clicked to bring up these options - and why the Options Button, per usual, doesn't. |

Cool, can you see the meters on the home screen in sports mode? Any pictures you’ve?
I see adaptative screen widget on left side vertical scrolling list as well. Can you these HP and Torque meters there as well? Thanks Quote:

As far as I know...
The meters seem to only appear 1) in Sport Mode, when 2) the Home Screen option is set to Live Vehicle (we all think of the Map as the "Home" screen, but in fact that's only the shipping default screen since Home can be set to Navigation, Live Vehicle, or Music (or Media? whatever) by the menu on the right, and then 3) once in Live Vehicle, the image of the vehicle is clicked or tapped to 4) bring up the options on the left and the correct one selected. Complicated! I've never noticed an adaptive widget appearing for Sport Mode. Maybe I wasn't expecting to see it and didn't look. It isn't there in Hybrid mode. If you experiment or somehow discover more clear documentation and find other choices or procedures, kindly post! |

What I find more annoying: why is there no option to see oil temp somewhere else then the “adaptive data” menu.
I mean that is such an important metric and it’s hidden deep inside idrive and only available in sport… ffs BMW |

Just a couple of days ago it occurred to me to see what would happen if I asked the Voice Assistant what my oil temperature was.
She told me! I was worrying about oil temperature especially since nearly all my trips are local and so almost purely electric. Just how badly was I wearing the engine when suddenly flooring it? How long was condensed water and other vapors lingering in the old oil? The power meter/tachometer/whatever when the car is shifted into Sport mode so the engine is explicitly started does show a limit on available power when the engine is cold out of the garage, and the limit takes a minute to climb to full power, but what happens in Hybrid mode? As it turns out...even in Hybrid mode and no apparent engine use the oil temperature was almost immediately double the ambient temperature and after a few minutes was at 170F. Apparently the car does heat the oil one way or another so that suddenly bursting out of the pure electric range into ICE range doesn't blow the engine. Still, yes, would like an oil temperate choice in the content settings for the driver's instrument screen. If only for fun. |
