I live relatively close to Plant Spartanburg and I have a tour of Best Fit/paint booth booked September 12, the week prior. As I understand it the build week is generally the week that production is supposed to be "complete." Not holding my breath about seeing anyone's car in particular, but if yours is Ruby Red II, I imagine it'll be really easy to spot if it's there! Great choice.
Thanks…from what I have read, you will miss it. TurtleBoy says it is produced in one day, which would be the 19th….but keep an eye out in case they move it up and let me know!!

Not to split hairs but trying to do some planning. When you say produced in one day, will it be dispatched to transportation the next day or still needs other steps like QC, etc? Trying to estimate when it might arrive on the west coast. I have heard 3 weeks for train….then to dealer.

No one can say since it depends on your vehicle, train scheduling, etc. If everything runs smooth and the timing is perfect, it will be assembled, go through QC and be dispatched on your production day. Generally you can plan on it being done and ready for dispatch one day and dispatched the next. That of course depends on carriers, or in your case a train, being available. We have seen folks wait a week or so for dispatch so you never know.

Since you are in Oregon you likely more towards 4 weeks for delivery from what we have been seeing.

Okay…thanks for the intel. I figure it will take 4-5 weeks to get to me in Oregon. He has to prep it and ship it too. That is pretty close to the guess I had in the calendar.

My production date moved from 9/18 to 9/15 tonight. Hopefully good news for some of the rest of you as well.

Headed to Spartanburg for a plant tour tomorrow (only body shop and paint booth), will report back.

Did the plant tour today and wow, it was great. If you're in Spartanburg for PCD, it's well worth your time. They are only doing a "partial" tour right now since they're reconfiguring some lines for EV production, but it's still well worth it. Most of it wasn't just watching from an observation area--we were right on the floor in the Best Fit area, just five or six feet from the production robots attaching doors, hoods and tail gates. It's really cool to see the people that are putting your vehicle together. The guides do a nice job. And you can't beat the price--$10 for an hour tour. I came away with a really good impression; sure feels like I'm getting my money's worth of competent engineering and manufacturing with this vehicle.

The Zentrum museum, eh...some great vehicle examples for sure, nice to examine an M1, but I'd be fine only spending about 30 minutes there. I did enjoy meeting a German-American manufacturing engineer there who nerded out about cars with me for awhile.

I did see a few Dravit Gray bodies coming down the line, if any Week 37 people ordered one.

And before I forget, the tour guide mentioned that even though I'm not doing a PCD, I should still tell my dealer that I want to come down to Spartanburg and do the other experiences. I didn't even realize that was an option.

Interesting. I was told today that factory tour would not be included for my scheduled 10/26 PCD. Fingers crossed I still get partial.

Just watching for any changes to build dates for Week 38. In Canada, I can only track online as we can’t add MyGarage in the app. I ordered an X5 xDrive 50e, Skyscraper Grey, black sensafin, with Premium Enhanced Pkg (includes 16 options such as ventilated seats, heated and cooled front cup holders, parking assist professional and other options as we have a different option package compared to US), and 21” tires with Y spoke-744 rims. Mine flipped to Production Begins on Sept 7. Watching what Production dates you guys are getting. I asked my dealer when the build date was going to be, but all he gave me is possible delivery to Toronto dealership the 3rd or 4th week of October. This one is going quicker than my 2022 G30 530e I ordered in November 2021 and didn’t get delivery of it until July 28, 2022. It also was missing several options I had paid for. Hoping no deleted options this time because I won’t take delivery of it. But also means I will have to wait even longer if that happens.

Hope everyone’s build goes as planned!

My date moved from 19th to 16th, Tomorrow. But then I have not moved past “production begins”, like you have. Wondering if mine will be delayed one day now since it didn’t enter the first stage of production/assembly.

Since your production date is tomorrow you won't see any change in status until tomorrow or late tonight.

Production begins was early September. But then a few days ago, actual assembly date changed from 9/18 to 9/15, so today. It already has moved to awaiting carrier assignment as of this evening.

That’s what I thought, but when I saw jbirds date is tomorrow and he got status change at 7 am this morning, it made me wonder.
