I've been getting updates on my 2024 xDrive50e (e.g. 2 since the beginning of Feb), and I'm not sure how to find out what they are doing.

Is there a good website (ideally from BMW) that actually shows what's in these updates as they land?

The release notes on the screen post-upgrade are very general and don't give actual updates to features that have changed.

The info at https://www.bmwusa.com/explore/conne...e-upgrade.html seems to show nothing since 2023, and many of these upgrades seem related to other cars.

(In the meantime...anyone notice anything interesting from the update this week...?)

They don't issue detailed release notes just some general information. Not sure why you got two of them so close, are you sure both were iDrive updates and not Apps and Services? Were you previously on 8 and the first was to 8.5?

Is there a good place to find out the latest version available for my 2020 G06? Car is at dealer now, warranty ending in a few days! My goal is to have them fully update it, as the download through phone app to car never gets to the option to actually install it. Just verifies download on car, but has never offered the option to install it at the end of a drive, etc. Eventually it just disappeared and now the phone app claims no updates are available.

Welcome to the forum. They latest version is at least 11/2023.58. Keep in mind that most dealers will not update iDrive unless it is tied to a warranty repair. Depending on what version (under 07/2021) you currently have it could fall under a repair according to SIB 09 03 21. Some dealers still do updates when asked out of customer goodwill, hopefully yours will.

Thanks for the response. My goal was to have it updated under warranty, but so far am hitting resistance. Current version is 7/2022 I believe. I just noticed the 11/2023 thread so will keep an eye on that.
