Might want to join the random speculation on one of the other two threads on the topic.

Germany borders are closed since yesterday. My car is stuck somewhere in Germany.

Probably car dealers will try to deliver as much cars as possible in order to get paid until they are stopped by the government by closing borders, prohibiting unnecessary transports. Closing dealerships probably not because fixing cars can be considered as an essential service. |

So I started calling the dealer to get an earlier delivery date (so close but yet so far). They just couldn't tell when BMW Europe / Belgium will get the car from the parking lot and put it on a truck. There seems to be no way to control this or even know it. So it ended up being in Zeebrugge for couple of weeks. I wasn't expecting to get it anymore in 2019 and then they called me Friday 23/12 at 16h that my car had arrived and was ready for delivery. Fortunately I have a good insurance guy who already prepared all the papers and did the inscription ASAP online so I could get it. At the end would probably have been better if they didn't tell my colleague and just delivered it in januari as I was expecting already. I hope they are not just telling you stories to keep you calm. |

Yes, it is. Some other BMW cars are stuck on trucks and can not be deliver to Croatia.

In Vienna, AT, all BMW dealerships and services are closed as of yesterday. I got a call that they are cancelling all appointments until further notice.

From what i know, transport is still allowed through “closed” borders. Cars could be delivered, the problem is that dealerships are closed so you can’t get the paperwork done.
I spoke to the owner of dealership i use and he had no clue for how long they will be shut, he said min 2-3 weeks, probably 1 month. Then things should reboot. I ordered my car literally minutes before they closed the shop in order to catch one of the last M50d’s Edit: i also noticed convoys of trucks on the highway with police escort, about 30 in line. Goods have to move...

Dealerships are closed as of today 12 o'clock in Belgium until April 5th. But I think this will be prolonged.
BMW stops with production in European plants for 4 weeks. I'm curious what Spartanburg will do. |
