Thanks, was just wondering because it's not offered when you do a BUILD on the website. Maybe they need to update their paint options cause it stops with Sunstone.

Options typically don't appear on the website unless they are currently available -- by that I mean currently in production. You can order a car with them for a future build through the dealer, but not configure them on the website.

Does Costco include tax in your price? I doubt it but their pricing is ok, still would be better if you also got BMW incentives

Agreed - also checked Costco Auto Program. Discounting/rebates were not more than what I was able to negotiate independently.

Sales just informed me to get the Individual stuff like the Ametrin red paint they have to first build the car here, ship it to Germany for painting, ship it back. That means at least 2 mos. in transit.

Gonna do Alpine White. Just signed and put in the order, final price was .93 X MSRP which is just below invoice, $2,000 BMW financing rebate, (only $7,500 required for the minimum to finance)

on a new build.

I agree and I have owned it as well but as stated before it is a color that typically costs money in addition it has fallen out of favor/fashion so the next best thing is white since it's free and easy to maintain.

That is simply pure fabrication. All the X cars in the world (except for the X1, which is made in Leipzig) are made in Spartanburg. They do not get shipped to Germany for painting, even for individual colors. We have a 2010 X5 that we got painted Ruby Black, which at the time was not an official option (BMW did not offer Individual colors on US X5's at that time, but they did offer Individual colors to the rest of the world). They did it at Spartanburg, just like they would have painted an X5 bound for Canada, England or Abu Dhabi in Ruby Black (they DID have to specially program the paint booth, because Ruby Black was not an official option on a US car at the time, and thus they couldn't enter it in the normal computer production sheet).

Your sales person needs to get a truth serum injection.

I did feel a little disappointed in the color choices... but I assumed that more colors would come in later years.

I was hoping to get imperial blue like they have on the 5 series. I thought the phytonic blue was a little too bright when I ordered so I didn't choose that... Some pictures of it look really good though... but I ended up ordering jet black like I have on my f10 which I have really liked.

I was thrilled coming to BMW from Audi to get Carbon Black. It was always a signature BMW color I always found classy yet very menacing.

The Priority 1 metallic colors don't go into production until April 19 which includes the Ametrin red we wanted. So, I ordered Alpine White.

Yea Carbon Black is always color shifting depending on the direct light. It’s black with a midnight blue set way in the background. It gives you the impact of black and looks black in anything other than bright direct light. Then in light you see blue at the creases first mixed with black. In full bright sunlight, the midnight blue comes through. It’s a very interesting 3D metalic paint and polishes to 30’ deep. Upkeep is certainly black.

This is as blue as I can show it in full sun yet there is still black mixed in the design lines.

whatever frozen would be fine by me, even if they stick to the 50 shades of grey, black and white...

Looks like a X5 in the new Terra Brown Metallic next to it, and one in Ametrine Metallic Ind. behind it....?

I still don't know why we need so many shades of bleedin black though
