I am still discovering things I could do with my X4 M40i. Today I drove it on the motoway with full manual mode shifting with the levers in Sport Individual Mode. I lovee being able to get those downshift burbles when I want.

My next car will be a Porsche 911 GT3.
Or a Porsche Taycan once I grow out of the noisy exhaust phase into a matured fast luxury electric car guy

Umm i have a confession. With BMW's midlife crisis, I thought why pay for a fake Tesla when I can order a real Tesla. So I did!

Let's see how it goes ....

Did you test drive any Tesla and any of the new electric BMWs (not the i3) just to feel the difference?

I haven't tested them so just want to hear a real life opinion. I heard Teslas lack proper cabin insulation but its got range.
I am hoping BMW will improve on range and keep the road noise out. Porsche Taycan has managed to do so but at a bloody high cost but it's worth a shot. . .. and you better not call a Taycan a fake Tesla

2016 BMW M3  [0.00]
On a wait list for a bunch of cars that will most likely not be coming any time soon these include C8 Z06, new 911, and Mach1.

Tired of waiting so plan is to buy CPO once prices dip some more and then most likely jump on the right 991.1 GT3rs or 991.2 GT3.

Besides new GT3 and z06, nothing new really excites me.
Waiting to see new M2 and new Amg-GT.

i want the iX 50 - but in my part of the world it's 3 times the price of a Y. not sure how/why it's the same price in Canada

have a maid, 3 dogs + kid - i mean wife, 3 kids + dog and usual commute is just under 200 miles to the bach.

if they use the Y i can take the Touring ... but i can't fit them all + their ice hockey gear the the Touring

Cool X5

Probably a 2023 X5. We have to order soon if that's the path we take. I also have to sell four cars and one motorcycle before any other cars are to park here. lol

Have a deposit down on the new M2. However, I've been contemplating a few other vehicles lately. Either a C7 Z06 manual or GT350R. I've wanted a GT350 for awhile and feel like prices on the R's may never come back down again.

On a side note, I reached out to several Cadillac dealers regarding the new CT4V BW and they told me that even if I put down a significant deposit that I'm not guaranteed a vehicle at all? This is a Cadillac for Christ sake not a Porsche or even a C8 Z06 for that matter. Found that very odd as there's several years left in the production cycle for these vehicles and it's not that special.

Kinda all over the place but still may wait to see the new M2 and see what the economy does

We're going to Edelbrock supercharge our 2020 Mazda MX-5. While not truthfully a new car, bringing the 181 hp SkyActiv engine up to 230+ is going to absolutely feel like a new car.

Leaning very heavily toward a 2023 M340i. Can't find a dealer that is local enough and not charging 5k ADM.

Leaning towards either the G80 Comp or X5M Comp next year, however..it all depends on how the economy goes and if the wife wants to start seriously looking at boats and a lake house. lol

It's a hard one. The 2SS 1LE is so ****ing good. If I had to move on, maybe a Cayman S or GTS...but every time I get back in the 1LE...just so cool to be in such of a monster of a car. My "utility" car might be a better place to dream about what's next. I'm pretty happy with the Stinger...but a friend was selling Raptor a little while ago and if I had known, I definitely would have bought their Raptor. Otherwise, no plans. Really can't foresee anything at this point.

How are you pulling that off? Considering Edelbrock doesn't offer a S/C kit for the ND2.

As of last week, MiataSpeed has started shipping out ND2 Edelbrock S/C kits! They're still waiting on the CARB EO, but it's looking pretty good. Factory fuel injectors, 7100 RPM limit, 230 hp on the CARB version at 5/6 psi.

https://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=757534

They're also allowing for California owners to buy the S/C kit and have the CARB stickers sent separately when they get them!

Wow! How about torque?

What do you think is the ideal hp/tq for your car? Do you have to make any other changes to handle the increased power?

The ND2 Miata's base power is 181 hp / 151 ft-lb. With the Edelbrock kit on the same car (with a VERY conservative California/CARB-legal 5-6 psi pulley, the ND2 makes 222 hp /187 ft-lb. In a 2300 lb car, those torque gains are insanely noticeable.

I've driven a BBR Turbo ND1 MX-5 making 218hp/208tq (151hp/154tq stock). Even with the non-linear delivery of the turbo's power, it's a phenomenal change over stock. The supercharger is much more linear, which I'm incredibly excited about.

The Edelbrock kit touts no mods needed. The manuals aren't famed for being the strongest (Aisin transmissions iirc) but they don't need to be beefed up. Most of the people on the forums opt for some cooling upgrades but other than that, no mods! Stock exhaust, stock injectors. I'll be perfectly happy with slightly higher profile tires and the Flyin' Miata cooling suite but we'll try the car out in stock form for a little!

As they always say with the slower canyon/momentum cars: Sometimes it's much more fun to drive a slow car fast

Damn, excited for you!

So why did you feel the need to bump up the #s? The ND2 already seems pretty ideal stock. Are you mainly road or lots of track use? Is anything more overkill considering this car's wt?

That's awesome! Did Ecutek finally crack the ND2 computer or are they using that freeware stuff I've seen mentioned?

Realistically, the car is a perfect momentum car for the twisties. In S/C the car for more linear power delivery, in my opinion, the car's just going to feel like it has a bigger motor. It only really struggles powering out of the straights, and with a big brake kit, I don't foresee any issues with power overkill due to such a light, nimble car.

Not to mention one of my two routes to work is a canyon and the other is a freeway. Looking for a little more pep on the freeway; the car is already perfect in the canyon.

Fab9 uses VersaTuner; I believe they used to use EcuTek for the ND1 but have had good success with VersaTuner this time around.

Ecutek announced they are making progress on the 2nd gen BRZ, so I'm hoping that means Edelbrock may eventually adapt their kit to the 2nd gen.

Although many people, myself included, think the car with E85 and good header is going to be approaching 245-250whp.

Officially sold my Ferrari FF today, wasn’t planning on it but the offer was too good. Picking up this Vanquish next week assuming PPI checks out:

How does the Aston drive in comparison.

Personally I've never lusted after them. They seem like grand tourers not pure sports cars, but that could just be an old stereotype. CPO V8 Vantage are actually not absurdly expensive. In a few years I could see myself considering a CPO one, but the 911 is my top choice in that price category.
