Exhaust on 40i

I picked up mine on Saturday and noticed that only the driver side exhaust pipe is letting out smoke while the passenger side doesn't have anything coming out. I'm wondering if this is how it's designed or is something wrong. I also have a 540 and it has both pipes working all the time.

This only partially correct. The right flap remains closed while driving, unless the car is really being pushed (acceleration, high RPMs, etc). The flap does not open unless the software tells it to (depends on conditions).

This only applies to the 40i.

I learned something new today, the 50i at least has both sides open 24/7 just not the flaps unless you're in Sport or hard acceleration
