I just called my dealer service department to inquire if they had a replacement tire and schedule service if tire was in stock.

My service advisor called me back to say they had one in stock, confirm the Pirelli model, size and speed rating, how many miles does the X5 have. Then mentioned that it would be covered under warranty since it was a Pirelli and vehicle was under 10K miles. I was ready to shell out $400 for the replacement but didn't question the warranty replacement. Definitely know that I didn't purchase road hazard or any tire warranty.

Here's a copy of the service.

Pirelli has Road Hazard warranty on either original equipment or after market tires. This link starts description of my (ultimately successful) experience with it in Canada: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=25327868

You are replacing the sensor links with longer and shorter ones. I can drive in it level 2 with no issues.

Thanks Dr. Jeykll,
I went to their webpage and read through it, it listed two diff lowering distances but I think its really up to 40mm, correct? (about 1.5"). The other one said 70-80mm which is too much.

If you have the time, can you tell me what the distance is from the ground to the seat height when.. ..
- You have the car lowered as far as it will go with your new links installed
- You have the drivers seat lowered as far as it will go

Thanks.

I posted lots of measurements earlier that you can use to determine how much it dropped in each position. But the reality is it's lowered 1" overall and that's it. There isn't 2 options, just the one. So your seat is now an inch lower.

They only come with the X5M or X5M Competition as far as I can see from the build site.

Managed to get a quick look at this today on our way to go food shopping during the lockdown .... the dealer brought it up from storage for me .... just need to finalise the deal. The dealer is remaining open for any urgent repairs or breakdowns.

these arent the M seats, but a version for the Msport - you can tell by these having a non-lit "M" crest just below the headrest vs. the X5M seats having a back lit X5M for that config.

Im confused because they dont show the option in the NA build outs.
