Definitely agree with that

However, I have since added DP with a flash BootMod 3 tune plus trans tune. I’m more comfortable having new brains instead of tricking the vehicle. Definitely much involved in just adding a JB4 but I must say, I probably just wasted time & money playing around with the plug & plays.

I’m about to add a flex fuel kit having the option for E30. The V8 is definitely awake now but I think its about to be unleashed.

By the way, the two car seats ih the back Don’t slow it down at all lol

So you recently had your DME/ECM unlocked for flash tuning?

You were considering an unlock, BM3 ECM tune, ordering and installing down pipes along with an intake kit per your post of 3 weeks ago.
This has all been done in an exceptionally short period of time as anyone familiar with this stuff would agree.
I've been modifying and tuning for decades and could not have come near doing everything you have in 3 weeks considering what is involved with the unlock and the many other time commitments one has in life.

Some guys get their best BMW 0-60 times with a power brake to 2,500 rpm, let off the brake and go. Easy enough to try it either way and compare.

DME’s unlocked in a week. Friday to Friday. While they were shipped to Finland, the DP’s were installed. Trans tune software so no big deal

Idk why you think I’d bs about that. Why would I do that. Questioning me is kinda bizarre. I got no reason to lie bro lol

There was of course preparation involved like ordering DP’s a few weeks prior getting them thermal coated then ordering the rest so the shop had everything in hand for when I dropped it. Lot of moving parts but couldn’t have it take very long since it’s my daily. I said questioning by the way. Not accusing. But yes, it was awwfully fast and definitely the fasted FEMTO the shop was able to pull off to this point.

Keep you posted on the Flex.

Plan to get a draggy and get some times before and after.

Really looking forward to hearing your results. That should be a real beast. I know that a basic flash tune on an N63 just prior to the locking occured was good for around 700HP and that was tune only.

I'm pulling my DME's out in couple of days too but I'm little confused if i should choose carbahn tuning or DME tuning since I already have carbahn piggy back tuner installed in my car and carbahn will only charge me approx $2200 compare to $3600 fee of dme tuning. I'm running catless dp's from last 1 year, trans already tuned through xhp and now it's time to go proper stage 2.
