MyBMW App Remote Functions Stopped Working

So, none of the remote functions work: lock/unlock, remote start, 3D view. However, I can send destination to the car and can check the status of the car.

I have tried iDrive reboot (both short and long). Have updated Apps & Serivces on the car. MyBMW App on my phone is up to date. And, Data privacy in the car is also set to All Services.

I also called BMW Assist and after spending 40 mins waiting on the line they transferred me to BMW Genius which the guy had no idea why BMW Assist transferred me over!! So, basically, neither BMW Assist nor Genius could help!

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? I do have an appointment next week with my dealer for a separate issue. I'm thinking to ask them update the iDrive to the latest version and see if that helps. I'm on 07/2021.

I have had intermittent issues in the last couple weeks, perhaps there is a bigger issue at play? Please let us know what the dealership ends up telling you.

Did you try removing your car from connected drive and adding it back up ?

Was trying to avoid that hassle but I think I'll have to do it. Car is at the dealership now. Let's see if they can figure it out. Not keeping my hopes high though...

now you can also see the app on Apple Watch but only status (lock) and fuel mileage range. I was expecting that you can remote start on watch but maybe next release.
