Yes, yellow laminex for some contrast. Rarely use the figs these days now that you can’t run them with just the corner lamps on.

I’d love to get lower than the MSS springs allow for but just can’t come to terms with paying over $3k to get it lower on KW. Hoping someone puts some used ones up at some point and then I can consider it. Here is how I currently sit, wish I could fully eliminate the gap.

It’s not often you’ll find a set in the boards. I fortunately did and picked it up for $2500 like new. No regrets given the adjustability with height and stiffness/comfort.

Didn’t think the Dinan intake fit the 50i.
I have a 2023, will it fit?

M50i? It will fit. The only challenge will be clamping the rubber bellows securely. I did a full post on it under the engine section of the forum and the challenges to make it fit. Try looking under a thread about Eventuri intake (which did not fit).

Thanks! Found it. Are you happy with it?

A little birdie told me that Eventuri is working on a CAI for the M50i. No details on date, but it’s in the works.

I am very happy with it. I think it looks better than the eventuri as far as aesthetics. Eventuri has real data on the power increase and a stronger whoosh sound between revs based on vids posted in F95 forum. The Dinan will give you subtle whoosh and whistles; nothing obnoxious.

Even if eventuri comes out with an intake (which I’m doubtful of but would be great to see), I’m sticking with Dinan. Going to purchase the F95 Dinan exhaust tonight and keep my car Dinan theme for performance.

You sold me.
Let me know about the exhaust, would love that as well but wasn’t sure it would fit the M50i
Thanks

Big thanks to BforBrianfor the recommendation and all of the forum members who’ve shared their specs over the years. Hope my info helps the next person looking for wheels.
Why’d you decide to go with 285 in the front versus 315? I believe OEM is 10.5 on 315 on the rear. I’m thinking of doing 22x10.5 ET+25 on 315s all around so I can properly rotate tires. Would they not fit in the front?

I wouldn't recommend going 315 in the front. You could have rubbing issues in addition to possible tire size aspect ratio being beyond an acceptable percentage. I'm no expert as I did my research here and there through various threads over the years. If I recall correctly, too large of a size could impact speedo and cause further wear/tear on the transfer case. I went with 285 because it was within an acceptable range. There are online calculators to help you with sizine. I think some people have gone 295, but not many. I was unable to locate 275 sizing with the Michellins because they were backordered. I did not want to wait and went with 285s which were equally hard to locate.

I thought about rotating but I really wanted larger rears

PNWM50I Thank you for the information. I’d like to learn more about the sizing issues in the front. The 315 tire is what is used on OEM10.5s on the back and wondering why it’s ok for the rear but not the front considering it’s all wheel drive. Do you have any links to sizing calculators or articles on the topic? I haven’t been able to find anything concrete.

Right but 275s are used in the front, not 315.

This link explains why sizing is important.

Last mod, F95 M strut brace. Thanks for TorontoM50i for giving me inspiration. Custom ordered through BMW and sourced from Germany as none were available in the US.

lol, unless Dinan comes out with an exhaust specifically for the M50i.

Anyone interested in doing this will also need to swap out the oil neck filler and cap with an X5M model. Don’t forget you will also need F95 intake tubes to replace the M50i silencer intake inlets. There are other minor adjustments with relocating some wiring strands and a plastic bracket but it’s simple enough.
