New X6 build lease signed.

hello,

just showing you guys what i got think was a very good deal on a custom build X6 lease for 36m/10k miles. miles aren't that important to me since i plan on buying the car out if nothing goes wrong. but if your curious, going to 12k miles adds about $25, 15k adds $50 to the monthlies.
$83,495 MSRP
$8,800 dealer discount (about 10.5% off)
$500 lease cash, $1000 loyalty cash, both applied as cap cost reduction (not part of dealer discount)

$881.71 per month
$3988.54 due on delivery: first month payment, tax (8.875%), DMV ($75) and bank fee

options:

i still have a few days where i can amend the options. what do you guys think?

I am not a huge fan of the red brakes for a personal build but with carbon black/red interior like yours those would look great.

Looks good except I would add the Executive package. Congratulations and hopefully the wait isn't too long. Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

i thought about it, but there isn't anything in the executive package that i want. i don't need the headlights, don't care about the glass shifter and don't care about the LED lights in the sunroof. i don't think those things are worth the $2,300 difference.

i *would* have loved soft close doors, but that's not an option right now. if soft close doors were still in the exec package, i would have taken it. otherwise it's useless to me.

The laser lights are why I said it. To me they are a must have both for looks and performance but that is a personal thing.

i figured, i think that's the only thing worth spending money on in the exec package. too bad they don't offer laser lights as a stand alone option anymore.

There is talk from dealers of laser lights not being offered at all in the US anymore - and supposedly they aren't in the 7-series, though I haven't confirmed that

According to the Pricing Guide dated 5/26/20 that is correct. Laser lights are not a feature or option for the MY21 7 Series.

that doesn't bother me. i don't care much for the "looks" they provide and even when driving to my backwoods house in PA, i never felt like i needed more light than my current 5 series provides.

I ordered a Carbon Black X5 and went with the red calipers - thought they would stand out better against the darker body color.

lol. i changed it at the last minute to red calipers too. also got a spare tire. i told the sales rep like 3 times that i want a spare, but it somehow never made it on the option list. which brings me to my next rant, why the f*** would a $70,000+ car ($83,495 in my case) not have a spare?

in any case, it's in production queue now.

Like most manufactures not offering spares as standard, weight and EPA mileage ratings or so they say.

i can't claim that i know the stats on spare tires, but my mom's mercedes GLE and my dad's ford explorer sport both came with spare tires and tools for tire changes. before going switching to BMW, i had a 2015 audi A6, and it too had a spare tire that came standard. the spare tires were not listed on the window stickers but they were in the trunk.

with the GLE, if you get 3rd row seats you lose the spare because there is no space for it. otherwise it's there.

i do realize that some cars don't come with spares, but from my experience it seems that it's limited to *some* luxury cars that come with run flat tires. my experience with run flats on new york's amazing roads has been less than stellar. i had to ditch my car in a rough neighborhood because a run flat tire was punctured by a bolt and did not "run flat" like it was supposed to.

going forward i refuse to buy a car that doesn't have a spare tire, or at least have a place to keep one. i learned that lesson the hard way with my current 5 series.

Definitely not limited to luxury vehicles with run flats. I would venture a guess that soon more vehicles will come without a spare than with. Back in 2018 it was about a third did not have a spare according to CR.
