Does anyone succeed with the M on a 45e?
I had no luck with eDrive either. I only had luck with non eDrive cars
Did you try expert mode in Bimmercode? I was able to apply several different logos on my M50i.
It works for the "i" models. Not for the "e" models

With the last few iterations of BimmerCode, you can code the ///M logo using the Basic Mode (no need for the Expert Mode). So instead of this code (3001 KI_PARAMETER > LOGO_SCHRIFTZUG > MSP_LOGO) you can just select INSTRUMENT CLUSTER > LAYOUT > M SPORT.

I also notice that once you code the ///M logo (or any ///M logos) to show on the infotainment screen, if you switch the driving mode to Sport/Sport Plus/Sport Individual, you get the M-color bars showing between to the "0mph" and Speed Limit icon on the bottom left of your screen (see pic below). Pretty cool.

No M-color bars with the standard screen (no ///M logo) when in Sport/Sport Plus/Sport Individual mode.

I chose the M Performance up to 200 mph. I assume the M-color bars will show in Sport mode with only that code but if you want to customize the logo you still need the Expert Mode (I use m50i_logo). I had not noticed the M-color bars until you posted this but indeed they are there.

The closest match to the M font in the dash is if you code the layout to M mode. The digits on the HUD are the same font as the ones in the dash.

When you select the MP up 200mph does anything else change with it? I want just that and keep the stock x5 m50i.

I went in and coded the proper color and changed the vehicle from xLine to Msport. I also changed the cluster to M Font from standard and that allowed me to add the M logo and other logos that are ordinary unavailable with stock cluster. Before and after photos are below with coding instructions. Enjoy. Also tested this on my 2020 5 Series and was successful.

No, you can do that one by itself.

You'll quickly find out that there are bugs with the M layout... That's why Silver was asking.

I'm using the OBDLinkMX+ adapter and I put the car in Diagnostic Mode before I code it. Not sure if that makes a difference.
I’m new using the OBDLINKMX+. Any chance you could explain how to do it step by step?

You don’t need to go into Export Mode. I believe you go into Imstrument Display or Cluster and select the M version.

Not sure if that was your question or you are wondering how to connect to the ONBLINKMX+. In this case, plug the OBD in and open your Bluetooth. Select the OBD in your list and and start Bimmercode.

I strongly auggest you read the post in its entirety first to realize why somethings like gear selection and offset naming on cluster bother you or not.
Also you have no idea what mode you are in sport, eco, or confort etc. Was a no go for me.
