Crease on dashboard from airbag

I picked up my new x50 50 e on Wednesday and noticed a rectangle indentation/crease on the passenger side of the dashboard and was told by the dealer it’s normal. It’s nothing major but in certain lights it quite noticeable. Has anyone else had the same? IMO it’s poor finishing but I am not sure what can be done for it to be rectified.

Nothing normal about that. Perhaps the first 2 pictures would be tolerable, understanding that a fix is prob a dash replacement. But that last picture is damning and I'd pursue a replacement. Not okay for a brand new $80K car.

That last pic is bad. It would be a major heck no for me. This is right in the passengers direct sight line.

I scour every inch off before I sign off and accept delivery of my new cars. I probably would have rejected this car had I noticed this crease at delivery. It looks like it could be a tricky fix.

Let us know how this turns out @Ianw.

I don’t like that last picture and would keep complaining about it. Even if they don’t replace your dash, you might get some kind of service or cash allowance.

I had the same crease in my e82 1M since new. I didn’t like it. But the effort to correct it was not small, I eventually gave up and live with it until today. 🥲

I have a new 50e too and also have this issue but nowhere near as bad as that last pic. Doesn’t really bother me but if it was like the third pic I wouldn’t be happy.
