"Vehicle key: Battery empty." message on instrument panel

Any one have any ideas? I replaced the battery with a Panasonic battery and used an alcohol wipe on it and still no resolution.

Any problems with the other fob?

Other fob is fine. No issues.

I guess it could have gone bad. I would have the dealer check it out. Let us know how it turns out.

Just saw today for the first time on my G80. Weird thing was the OEM battery registered 3.01V on the volt meter. Any one hear of a root cause?
